PORTO MORTO
2026
A self-initiated identity for a Tokyo label of micro digital gadgets: glass-shell earphones, one-button charms and card-size players for the ports the industry closed.
In 1639 Japan closed Nagasaki to Portuguese ships. The port died, and the words stayed: pan, botan, karuta, bidoro. Every year the industry closes another port: the 3.5mm jack, the strap hole, the infrared eye.
PORTO MORTO builds for those ports, with objects small enough to lose, simple enough to fix and loud enough to find. The campaign wears them as charms, hair clips and keychains, and the copy runs in Japanese and English.
